Moscow - A fashion show held in Moscow, Russia, accompanied by gamelan music from Indonesia. All gamelan performers are Russian citizens who are members of the Gamelan Dadali music studio under the auspices of the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow, led by Ki Tri Koyo.
Various songs played by Gamelan Dadali for an hour accompanied the fashion show which was mostly attended by observers of fashion issues, design school lecturers, politicians, and local government officials. This event was also enlivened by Golek Asmarandana, played by Elisabeth Nur Nilasari, dance teacher at the 'Kirana Nusantara Dance' studio.

"This event is very special because for the first time in Russia, maybe even in other countries too, the gamelan music accompanied directly a fashion show. This shows that Indonesian traditional art can be well received in Russia where people are known to highly value the value of art and culture, "said the Indonesian Ambassador to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, M Wahid Supriyadi, in a written statement on Tuesday (3/19/2019).
Turut pula hadir tamu undangan khusus, yaitu anggota Dewan Perwakilan Kota Moskow yang juga Direktur Pusat Pelayanan Sosial, Olga Melnikova; Wakil Direktur Bidang Pendidikan dan Metodologi pada Akademi Sekolah Musik Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory yang sekaligus anggota kehormatan Dewan Kebudayaan Federasi Rusia, Soldatikova Nadezhda Vasilyevna; serta Ketua Jurusan Desain Tekstil Moscow State Art and Industrial Academy SG Stroganova, Polyakova Ekaterina Vasilyevna.
Also present were special invited guests, members of the Moscow City Representative Council who were also Director of the Social Service Center, Olga Melnikova; Deputy Director of Education and Methodology at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory Academy of Music School who is also an honorary member of the Cultural Council of the Russian Federation, Soldatikova Nadezhda Vasilyevna; and Chair of the SG Stroganova Moscow State Art and Industrial Academy Department of Textile Design, Polyakova Ekaterina Vasilyevna.

On this occasion, Ambassador Wahid also delivered an open invitation to all attendees to visit the flagship activities of the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow, the 2019 Indonesian Festival, on 2-4 August 2019 at the Pres Krasnaya Park, which is an integrated activity promoting the culture, tourism, economy and trade of Indonesia; business forum; and the presentation of various Indonesian products and the promotion of various provinces in Indonesia.
